You've been twenty five for six months now so I thought I would check in. Are you okay? You told me a few months ago that you were having a little bit of a rough patch. You know I'm here if you need me. You don't have to go through this alone. We've all been there.
How are things at work? Oh....oh.........Well maybe you should start reconsidering what you really want to do. I know you think you suck at it and your work is mediocre at best and so what if you haven't finished that "Books Everyone Should Read Before They're 25" list. To be honest, Alice in Wonderland was better in picture than on paper but that's just my opinion. But we talked about the end goal, remember? To be happy. And whatever makes you happy whether it be living in New York working on your next novel or living near the mountains just submitting articles for Thought Catalog and Buzzfeed, don't let that go. You'd never forgive yourself if you did.
Hey, is it weird that we're not married yet? I mean people seem to be getting engaged left and right. Some people have even had babies! No? Not weird? Well, yeah of course you have to be in a relationship before any of that happens duh. But you know we're twenty five and single. The biological clock is ticking. You're right...Screw the ideal timeline. And if we never marry, then cheers.
Hmm, we are still broke aren't we? I feel like it's much worse than it was when were in college. How's budgeting going? True. As 'adults' we should be saving money for the future and for emergencies. But geez life is so sad when you can't go out and have few drinks with your friends or you have to consider whether that $10 movie ticket is worth it or it better spent going in your gas tank. Yeah sometimes I hate hearing them talk about they're awesome, recent purchases, too I don't think you're the worst one of the group because you have money problems. At least that's all you have. Imagine if you had health problems or boyfriend problems or worse. You know how normal it is to be in that situation. You'll get it together one day. Yes, before you turn thirty but hopefully much sooner.
A question? Good or bad? Oh okay. Well I'm sure I can handle it...................What do you mean? Because I just do. It means I think you're funny and you're a good listener- But it doesn't matter if you're not any of those things. There are so many other components that make a good friend.
